New page

Please note this is a basic guide but it should help you out. I haven't flown the Bombardier Learjet or CRJ-700 for eons so apologies if I've missed a step.

Load a flight-plan, turn on the Flight Director (FD), set your speed, runway heading and an altitude on the MCP. Arm the auto throttle and take-off! Manually control the aircraft to 600+ ft then press the Auto-pilot, Heading Sel and IAS buttons. The aircraft should climb and maintain the heading and speed you selected. To follow the flight-plan flick the NAV/GPS switch to GPS.

For ILS landing normally you'd use charts, I'll skip this for the sake of brevity however you will need to know the ILS frequency and course for the runway - the map in FSX will give you this.

When your're about 50 miles from landing tune your NAV 1 radio by entering the ILS frequency i.e. 110.10 and the course i.e 273 for runway 27. Use the CRS knob on the MCP to enter this value. Activate the NAV 1 radio and shortly you'll hear a series of beeps, or morse code.

About 25 miles out flick the NAV/GPS switch back to NAV, the aircraft will capture the localizer and be guided towards the runway. When you're about 10-12 miles out reduce your speed to 160kts and hit the approach (APR) button. The aircraft will start to descend once it's intercepted the glidescope.

Disengage auto-pilot and auto-throttle about 200ft above the runway.

That should do it, good luck
