Apakah MoodleBox memerlukan perangkat keras khusus? MoodleBox dapat menggunakan perangkat keras RaspberryPi yang dapat dibeli dengan mudah di berbagai toko online. MoodleBox sendiri adalah free. Hardware berbasis Raspberry Pi 3, dan sangat murah. Seluruh biaya material hanya sekitar Rp. 1-1.1 juta-an lebih murah daripada Server yang besar.

			Sistem operasi pada MoodleBox pada dasarnya sistem operasi server Internet OFFLINE yang sudah siap pakai dengan fasilitas,

			* Sistem Operasi Raspbian
			* e-Learning Server Moodle
			* DHCP Server
			* WiFi Access Point kecil

			MoodleBox selain menyediakan server eLearning lokal, sebetulnya juga memanfaatkan WiFi yang sudah ada di RaspberryPi agar dapat menjadi WiFi HotSpot kecil. MoodleBox menyediakan akses Internet ke semua perangkat yang terhubung secara nirkabel. Seluruh sistem berfungsi tanpa Internet. Jika RaspberryPi tersebut disambungkan melalui kabel Ethernet ke jaringan LAN lokal dengan WiFi lokal akan memberikan akses yang lebih luas bagi para siswa. Berapa banyak perangkat WiFi yang dapat ditangani MoodleBox secara bersamaan? MoodleBox mendukung koneksi simultan dari 20-30 perangkat melalui Wi-Fi.

			Gambaran umum sistem MoodleBox terlihat pada gambar. Berbagai fungsi yang dijalankan di MoodleBox juga terlihat pada gambar, antara lain adalah (1) DHCP Server, (2) Wireless Network, (3) Moodle.

			Bagaimana kita menggunakan MoodleBox? Masukkan kartu microSD yang sudah diisi MoodleBox ke dalam slot Raspberry Pi dan nyalakan. LED merah menyala, dan setelah beberapa detik LED hijau akan kelap kelip. Jika diinginkan, hubungkan MoodleBox ke jaringan atau ke router Internet dengan kabel Ethernet untuk memungkinkan perangkat yang terhubung mengakses Internet.

			Setelah MoodleBox beroperasi, bagaimana cara kita untuk masuk ke Moodle elearning di MoodleBox? Caranya sederhana saja, masuk ke jaringan yang berikan oleh MoodleBox; membuka browser dan ketik http://moodlebox.home/ di tempat alamat. Maka beranda Moodle akan terbuka. Klik Login dan ketik username:password moodlebox:Moodlebox4$

			Mungkinkah Moodle bekerja secara offline? Salah satu fitur utama yang ditingkatkan dari Moodle Mobile 3.1. 3 adalah fungsi dukungan offline, memungkinkan pengguna untuk berpartisipasi dalam sebagian besar aktivitas di aplikasi saat mereka tidak terhubung ke jaringan. Aplikasi ini akan mengintegrasikan hasil saat pengguna kembali online.
