  1. Open Spyder's preferences - Tools > Preferences.
  2. Click on the "Completion and linting" on the left hand side.
  3. Click on the "Advanced" tab.
  4. Ensure that "Enable Kite (if the Kite Engine is running)" checkbox is checked.
